It was a proud night for Liverpool and their Academy last night, as the Reds Under 18's demolished Arsenal Under 18's 7 -1, to progress to the next round of the FA Youth Cup.

Playing at the Kirkby Academy, both sides showed their attacking intent from the start, with both teams scoring in the first 15 minutes.  After that, it was all one way traffic, with Liverpool scoring two more before half time, and a further two just after half time, to take the game away from Arsenal.

Lewis Koumas will get all the headlines after his hat-trick, but Trent Kone-Doherty and Jayden Danns both scored twice (and could have had hat-tricks themselves), in what was the best attacking display from the young Reds this season.

The victory means Liverpool progress to the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup, where they will play either Swansea City or Fulham.  The game will again be played at the Kirkby Academy.

Before that however, Liverpool Under 18's face Nottingham Forest, on Saturday 27th January, with kick-off at 12.30.
