Liverpool vs Tottenham preview: kick-off, team news, TV channel
Jurgen Klopp takes charge of his penultimate game at Anfield, with Tottenham Hotspur the visitors on Sunday afternoon, as the Reds look to end their season on a positive note, despite the difficulties of the last few weeks.
Jurgen Klopp takes charge of his penultimate game at Anfield on Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur visits Anfield in the Premier League. The Reds will have revenge on their minds after their 2 - 1 loss at The London Stadium earlier in the season, with Joel Matip's last-minute own-goal condemning Liverpool to their first defeat of the season.
The game will also be remembered for numerous abysmal refereeing decisions, that saw Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota sent off, and Luis Diaz denied a legitimate goal when the VAR Officials "misheard" the referee's on-field call.

Last time the teams met
Liverpool and Tottenham last met in September 2023, with the Reds suffering a 2 - 1 defeat, when Joel Matip scored an own goal in the 96th minute in what was one of the most controversial games in the history of the Premier League. Tottenham's players and staff celebrated the victory like they had won the league, so expect plenty of fist pumps and bear hugs from Jurgen Klopp if Liverpool win on Sunday.
Team News
Liverpool:
Jurgen Klopp will again be without Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Conor Bradley, Thiago, and Ben Doak for Sunday's game.
Tottenham Hotspur:
Tottenham manager Ange Postacoglu will be without six first-team players for the trip to Anfield, including Timo Werner, Oliver Skipp, Manor Soloman, Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster, and Destiny Udogie.
Predicted Liverpool Lineup
Jurgen Klopp will use his preferred 4-3-3 formation.
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk (C), Quansah, Robertson, Endo, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Diaz, Gakpo, Salah
After a disastrous couple of weeks, Liverpool have seen their title challenge all but disappear, with guaranteeing Champions League football the main aim now for Klopp and his players. Tensions among that squad have also been evident, with Klopp and Salah arguing on the touchline at West Ham last weekend, as the Egyptian forward waiting to come on as a second-half substitute. Klopp, therefore, will have numerous big calls to make with team selection on Sunday, with star players such as Szoboszlai, Salah, Nunez, and Konate all suffering a loss of form recently.
Despite their bust-up, I expect Klopp to start Salah against Tottenham, while Alexis Mac Allister should also return to the starting XI. Elsewhere, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Jarell Quansah deserve to keep their places, with Nunez and Szoboszlai once again on the bench.
Liverpool Score Prediction
Liverpool needs a victory to lift the clouds currently hanging over Anfield, and with the extra incentive of avenging the 2 - 1 defeat earlier in the season, I expect Liverpool to claim a 3 - 1 victory in front of the Anfield crowd.
Liverpool to win 3 - 1
