West Ham vs Liverpool Predicted Lineup
Jurgen Klopp will need to take a long hard look at his players as he prepares for this weekend's trip to West Ham, with many of his biggest 'stars' failing to perform when the club needed them most.
After Wednesday night's dismal defeat to local rivals Everton, Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a big response from his players, as he takes his team to the London Stadium to face West Ham.
The Premier League title may have gone, but the Reds still have plenty to play for between now and the end of the season, and with Liverpool looking like they have settled on Klopp's replacement, certain members of the squad need to start producing if they want to remain in the club's long-term plans.
Key members of the squad, including Salah, Nunez, Konate, Szoboszlai, and Robertson had an awful night at Goodison Park, and Klopp needs to make some big calls if Liverpool are to get anything from their match against West Ham.
Give the kids a chance
Jurgen Klopp must be wondering why he didn't stick with the team that played so well at Fulham, and I think we will see a similar lineup to the Fulham game, rather than the one that started on Wednesday. That means Quansah partnering Van Dijk, Jones, and Gravenberch back in midfield, and Elliott on the right of a three-man attack. Diogo Jota's latest injury, coupled with Cody Gakpo being on maternity leave, means Klopp is limited with the changes he can make upfront, so Salah and Diaz will continue, alongside Harvey Elliott.
Whatever team Klopp picks, he will once again have a strong bench to call upon, with the likes of Nunez, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, and Gomez all available.
Predicted Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk (C), Quansah, Robertson, Endo, Jones, Gravenberch, Diaz, Elliott, Salah
Predicted Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Konate, Tsimikas, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Nunez, Danns, Clark
Injuries and Suspensions
There are currently six players unavailable to Klopp due to injury and suspension, including:
Diogo Jota (muscle), Cody Gakpo (wife expecting a baby), Conor Bradley (ankle), Thiago (back), Joel Matip (ACL), and Ben Doak (hamstring)
