Liverpool vs Brighton predicted lineup

Liverpool welcomes Brighton to Anfield in 2 days, with the Reds knowing that victory will move them back to the top of the Premier League.  LFC - Back On Our Perch names our predicted lineup, with several key players set to return.

Liverpool face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, with Jurgen Klopp's side looking to move back to the top of the Premier League table.  The match is especially important as Liverpool's title rivals - Manchester City and Arsenal - play each other later on Sunday, so a win for the Reds will add extra pressure to both teams.

And with just ten games left in this season's Premier League, the Reds know they cannot afford any slip-ups, especially when playing at home. For that reason, Klopp will name his strongest possible Starting XI, with several key players hopefully returning after recent injuries and setbacks.

Predicted Starting XI: Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk (C), Konate, Tsimikas, Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Diaz, Nunez, Salah

Predicted Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Robertson, Clark, Gakpo, Gravenberch, Danns, Koumas, McConnell

Kelleher will once again start in goal, with Alisson still several weeks away from a return to full fitness.  There is a question mark over the left-back position, with Andy Robertson suffering an injury scare playing for Scotland last week. Reports suggest the ankle injury is not as bad as first feared, but with Kostas Tsimikas fit and ready to play, I would give Robertson more time to recover.  That means Liverpool would line up with a back four of Bradley, Van Dijk, Konate, and Tsimikas.

In front of the defence, Endo, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai will look to win the midfield battle, while Diaz, Nunez, and Salah (both of whom should be fit again) will have too much firepower for Brighton.

Injuries and Suspensions

There are currently seven players unavailable to Klopp due to injury and suspension, including:

Joel Matip (ACL), Alisson Becker (Hamstring), Thiago (Back), Jota (Knee), Doak (Hamstring), Alexander-Arnold (Knee), Bajcetic (Growing Pains)

Liverpool vs Brighton kick-off at 2pm GMT on Sunday.  Read our match preview for further details.
