Liverpool vs Sheffield United Predicted Lineup
Liverpool face Sheffield United at Anfield tomorrow, with the Reds looking to secure another three points and score plenty of goals to improve their goal difference - which could prove crucial in the title race.
Liverpool face Sheffield United at Anfield on Thursday evening, with Jurgen Klopp's side looking to continue their push towards the Premier League Title. Liverpool are currently top of the league, but with just 3 points separating us, Arsenal and City, the Reds know they cannot afford any slip-ups, especially against struggling teams like Sheffield United.
Klopp will also be urging his players to score as many goals as possible, as Arsenal currently have a superior goal difference to the Reds, but that could all change after tomorrow's game. United have already conceded 77 goals in the Premier League this season, so Liverpool will not get a better chance to score the goals needed to catch up with Arsenal.
With that in mind, I expect Klopp to pick a strong Starting XI, with Salah, Nunez, and Diaz all starting. If the Reds get the goals they need to secure the win (and boost our goal difference), then Klopp will rotate his players, with one eye on Sunday's crucial trip to Old Trafford. Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson are back in training and could make the bench for this game, while Ibrahima Konate is fit and should start, to get minutes into his legs ahead of Sunday's visit to United.
Predicted Starting XI: Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk (C), Konate, Tsimikas, Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Diaz, Nunez, Salah
Predicted Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Quansah, Gakpo, Gravenberch, Clark, Jones, Robertson, Danns
Injuries and Suspensions
There are currently seven players unavailable to Klopp due to injury and suspension, including:
Thiago (back), Matip (ACL), Alisson (hamstring), Jota (knee), Alexander-Arnold (knee), Doak (hamstring), Bajcetic (back in training, but not match fit)
