Atalanta vs Liverpool confirmed lineup

Jurgen Klopp has named the Starting XI that he hopes will rescue Liverpool's European dream and overturn last week's 3 - 0 defeat at Anfield, as the Reds take on Atalanta in the Stadio de Bergamo shortly.

  • Klopp makes several changes from the side that lost to Atalanta last time out
  • Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Salah, and Diaz all return to the Starting XI
  • Alisson makes first start in Europe this season

Atalanta vs Liverpool kicks off in under an hour and Jurgen Klopp will be looking to create one more piece of history before he leaves the club at the end of the season.  Following last week's awful performance at Anfield, the Reds have it all to do tonight at the Stadio de Bergamo, as they look to overturn a 3 - 0 deficit.

Jurgen Klopp has recalled Alisson in goal, while Salah and Diaz lead the line alongside Cody Gakpo.  Curtis Jones continues in midfield, as Klopp dispenses with the more defence-minded Endo, in favour of a more attacking lineup.  Alexander-Arnold starts at right-back, with Conor Bradley injured, while Konate partners Van Dijk in defence.

The bench features Nunez, Diaz, Elliott, Gravenberch, Clark and Danns, so Klopp has plenty of firepower to turn to if needed.

Klopp will again play his favoured 4-3-3 formation, with Van Dijk Captaining the side.

Liverpool Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk (C), Konate, Robertson, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Diaz, Gakpo, Salah

Liverpool Subs: Kelleher, Adrian, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Clark, Danns, Quansah

Injuries and Suspensions

There are currently three players unavailable to Klopp due to injury and suspension, including:

Matip (ACL), Thiago (Back), and Doak (Hamstring)
