Team News

Liverpool:
The Reds enjoyed a near-perfect evening on Thursday, thrashing Sparta Prague 6 - 1 at Anfield, to progress to the Quarter-Finals of the Europa League.  Klopp was able to give valuable minutes to key players such as Mo Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai, while also resting Van Dijk, Mac Allister, and Luis Diaz.

Liverpool still has an extensive list of injured players, such as Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Jota, Jones, and Thiago, with nobody set to return for a few weeks yet.  Ibrahima Konate is also a major doubt for the game and will undergo a late fitness test on Saturday.

Manchester United:
United has also been struggling with injuries recently, with Hojlund, Wan-Basaka, and Maguire all missing recent games.  However, Erik ten Hag is hopeful to have all three available at the weekend.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup

Jurgen Klopp will stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation, but unlike in recent games, he will be picking his strongest possible Starting XI:

Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk (C), Gomez, Robertson, Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Diaz, Nunez, Salah,

Caoimhin Kelleher will continue in goal with Alisson still absent, with a back four of Bradley, Van Dijk, Gomez, and Robertson.  Klopp could partner Quansah alongside Van Dijk, but I think he will go with the experience of Gomez.  The midfield and attack picks itself, with Endo screening the back four and Mac Allister and Szoboszlai controlling the middle of the pitch.  Up front, Diaz, Nunez, and Salah should have too much quality for United's defense to cope with.

LFC - Back On Our Perch Score Prediction

Visits to Old Trafford are never easy, and United would love nothing more than to end Liverpool's quest for the Quadruple, but I think Liverpool will have too much quality and firepower to United.  I think both teams will score, but Nunez, Salah, and Diaz will cause United all sorts of problems, and I can see us scoring three or four goals.

Liverpool to win 3 - 1
