Liverpool draw Atalanta in Europa League Quarter-Finals
The Reds have been drawn against Italian team, Atalanta, in today's Europa League Quarter-Finals, with a possible Semi-Final against either Benfica or Marseille.
The draw for the Quarter and Semi-Finals of the Europa League took place in Nyon earlier today, with Liverpool being drawn against Italian team, Atalanta. Liverpool will play the first leg at Anfield, with the second leg at the GeWiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. The two teams have met once before, in the group stage of the Champions League in 2020, with Liverpool winning 5 - 0 away, but losing 2 - 0 at Anfield.

Quarter-Final Ties
AC Milan vs AS Roma
Liverpool vs Atalanta
Bayer Leverkusen vs West Ham United
Benfica vs Marseille
The draw has thrown up some interesting ties, with an all-Italien tie between Milan and Roma, whilst Xabi Alonso will take his unbeaten Leverkusen side to the London Stadium to face David Moyes's West Ham.
Semi-Final Ties
Benfica or Marseille vs Liverpool or Atalanta
Bayer Leverkusen or West Ham United vs AC Milan or AS Roma
If Liverpool are to progress to the final therefore, they will need to overcome Atalanta and then either Benfica or Marseille in the Semi-Finals. The Reds played Benfica in the Champions League Quarter Finals in 2022, with the Reds winning 6 - 4 on aggregate, whilst their most recent meeting with Marseille was way back in 2008.
Are the ties played over two legs?
Yes, just like the Round of 16 ties, the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are both played over two legs.
When are the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals due to take place?
The Quarter-Final matches are due to be played on the 11th and 18th of April, whilst the Semi-Final matches are due to be played on the 2nd and 9th of May.
When are where is the Europa League Final being held?
This year's final is due to take place in Dublin, at the Dublin Arena, on the 22nd of May 2024. The stadium has a capacity of 57,711.
