Team News
Liverpool:
After Sunday's thrilling one-all draw with Manchester City, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will look to rotate his players, with one eye on the FA Cup match with Man Utd at the weekend. Thanks to their 5 - 1 victory in the first leg, Liverpool are in a commanding position, and Klopp can afford to rest most of his senior players, with Academy players such as Koumas, Clark, McConnell, and Quansah all likely to start.
Klopp may give some of his returning players, such as Salah and Szoboslai, a brief run-out, to help them regain their sharpness, but it should be a very youthful team that takes to the Anfield pitch on Thursday.
Sparta Prague:
Sparta have a few injury concerns coming into this game, having lost defender Asger Sorensen during the first leg last Thursday. They are also without midfield duo Jakub Pesek and David Pavelka.
Predicted Liverpool Lineup
Jurgen Klopp will stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation.
Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk (C), Quansah, Tsimikas, Endo, Szoboszlai, Clark, Koumas, Danns, Gakpo
Caoimhin Kelleher will once again play in goal, with a back four of Bradley, Van Dijk, Quansah, and Tsimikas. I expect Van Dij to only play 45 minutes, and will likely be replaced at half time by Joe Gomez. Likewise, Endo will start in midfield but will be replaced at some point, with Szoboszlai and Clark making up the midfield three. Up front, Gakpo will lead the line, with youngsters Koumas and Danns in support.
LFC - Back On Our Perch Score Prediction
I don't think this one will be a classic, with Liverpool already 95% certain of reaching the next round. It will be good to see the youngsters gain more experience though, and I think Liverpool will still be too strong for Sparta, even with a makeshift team.
Liverpool to win 3 - 1
