- Liverpool looking for a positive result in their Europa League Last 16 First Leg match
Jurgen Klopp has taken a young squad to the Czech Republic, as ten first-team players remain sidelined with injuries, but the big news is Mo Salah has travelled with the team and is fit to play tonight.
Liverpool take on Sparta Prague in the Last 16 of the Europa League, with the first leg taking place at the Epet Arena. Kick-off is 17.45 (GMT), and Liverpool will be hoping to secure a first-leg advantage to take back to Anfield next week.
It will be interesting to see who plays tonight, as Klopp balances the need to get a result tonight, against the fact Manchester City travel to Anfield on Sunday, in a game that may decide the destiny of the Premier League title race.
For that reason, we expect to see plenty of youngsters in tonight's lineup, with Clark, Bradley, McConnell, Quansah, Gordon, and Koumas all likely to feature at some point during the game. Liverpool fans may also finally get to see Mateusz Musialowski make his Liverpool debut. The 20-year-old Polish midfielder has been with the club since 2020, earning rave reviews in the Under-18s and Under-21s. Unfortunately for the player, he has yet to make the final breakthrough into the first team, but tonight could be his chance to impress.
