Klopp hails perfect night

Liverpool proved too strong for a spirited Toulouse at Anfield last night, winning 5 - 1 to maintain their unbeaten start

Despite 8 changes and 3 debuts, Liverpool put on a brilliant display to blow away Toulouse at Anfield, with Klopp a very happy Manager at the full time whistle.

The huge smile at full time said it all.  All the planning and hard work on the training ground had payed off.  Despite making 8 changes, and giving debuts to 3 Academy graduates, Liverpool were simply too good for French side Toulouse, winning 5 - 1, to take control of Group E in the Europa League.

Indeed, the night couldn't have gone much better.  Here are the main takeaways from another great European night at Anfield.

- Ryan Gravenberch is the real deal
Just in case anyone was still wondering why Liverpool paid £34million for the Dutch International,  last night proved what a player Liverpool could have on their hands.  Gravenberch has all the attributes to be a top quality midfielder, mixing pace and power, with technical flair.  His goal, though appearing simple, also proved how calm and composed the young man is.

- Darwin Nunez has the X Factor
He still misses simple chances, but 'Mr Chaos' (as I have nicknamed him) scares the life out of defenders.  With his direct style, pace and power, Nunez has something no other Liverpool player has.  If he can improve his finishing,  then Liverpool will have another world class forward.

- The Academy is flourishing
Liverpool's Academy has always produced great players (Owen and Gerrard anyone), but the next few years could see a golden generation of young talent pass through from the Academy to the first team.  With Jones and Elliott already established, and Quansah, Chambers, Scanlon and Doak all pushing for first team places, the future looks very bright at Anfield.

- Happy Mo Salah
The only thing missing from Salah's play this season has been his smile.  8 goals and 4 assists tell you everything about his performances, but Salah has appeared more determined and focused this season, smiling much less than in previous years.  So it was great to see his huge grin return yesterday,  to light up Anfield after his last minute goal.
