Liverpool's left-back was injured whilst on International duty with Scotland, and could now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

In what could be a huge blow to Klopp and Liverpool, ever-present Andy Robertson could be out for up to 6 months, depending on the severity of his shoulder injury.

It is the nightmare scenario Jurgen Klopp, and every other Liverpool fan, hopes to avoid.  But sadly, it looks as though the latest round of International matches has claimed atleast one Liverpool player - with Andy Robertson dislocating his shoulder whilst playing for Scotland.

The 'exceptional' left back has played every Premier League game so far this season, but looks like spending an extended period of time on the sidelines.

Robertson was injured near the end of the first half of Scotland's match against Spain.  Challenging for a high ball in the area, Robertson collided with the Spanish keeper, who fell on top of Robertson as the pair landed on the floor.  Robertsons arm and shoulder were trapped under the keeper, with the player being helped from the field with his arm in a makeshift sling.

Now, 24 hours later, Scotland's Manager, Steve Clark has confirmed that the player has returned to Merseyside for further scans, to determine the extend of the dislocation, and whether surgery is required to help heal the damage.

If no surgery is needed, then Robertson will likely face upto 6 weeks on the sidelines.  However, if surgery is required, then the recovery period can be anything upto 6 months!

Obviously, we are all hoping that Robertson is back in action as soon as possible, given he is an ever-present in the team.  Thankfully, we do have good cover in the left back position, with Greek International Kostas Tsimikas (the 'Greek Scouser') ready to fill in over the coming games.

Everyone at LFC - Back On Our Perch wishes Robertson a full and speedy recovery!!
