Liverpool's next 6 Premier League games

The next 6 games will definately show how far the Reds have progressed.

After a strong opening to the new Premier League Season - which has seen Liverpool take 16 points from a possible 18 - the next 6 matches may well go a long way to deciding if the Reds are genuine Title contenders.

Whilst you can't win the league in the first few months of the season, you can certainly lose it.  Finding yourself 8-10 points behind the leaders after 12 games is usually to great a gap to recover, particularly given the relentless nature of Man City (and usually Liverpool).

That's why Liverpool's strong start to the 2023/24 season has been so pleasing, but tougher tests lay ahead, and by game week 12, we should have a clear idea of which teams are set to battle it out for the Title.

So lets take a look at Liverpool's next 6 Premier League fixtures, to see where the greatest challenges may be.

Liverpool's next 6 Premier League Fixtures :

Tottenham (A)
Brighton (A)
Everton (H)
Nottingham Forest (H)
Luton (A)
Brentford (H)

First up is a tough trip to high flying Tottenham, who are enjoying a new lease of life under coach Ange Postecoglou.  Liverpool's defence will need to be at their best to prevent Tottenham scoring, although in an open, free flowing game of football, I would back our attackers to score more than the oppositions.  Then there is another away trip to face Brighton, who have become something of a bogey team for the Reds in recent seasons.  Again, Liverpool will need to be at their best to get a result at the Amex Stadium, however, with Brighton playing their next 3 games away at Chelsea (Carabao Cup), Aston Villa (League) and Marseille (Europa League), a fit and firing Liverpool should be too strong for Brighton.

The Reds then host city rivals Everton at Anfield, before another home game against Nottingham Forest, and whilst anything can happen in a Merseyside Derby, Everton's indifferent form and lack of squad depth means the Reds are strong favourites.  Likewise, our away trip to Luton Town should be a regulation win, whilst Brentford have again been a difficult opposition for us recently, but at home, with part of the new Anfield Road Stand development open, I fancy Liverpool to pick up all three points.

Another 16 points from the next 6 games would see Liverpool very much in the Title race, before the next International Break at the start of November.
