1963 :  Goalkeeper, Tommy Lawrence, made his International Debut for Scotland, in a match against the Republic of Ireland.  Scotland lost the match 1 - 0.  During his 14 year Liverpool career, Lawrence made 306 appearances.

1902 : Liverpool FC celebrates it's 10th Anniversary!

1892 : Liverpool Football Club is founded on 3rd June 1893 by John Houlding, after a dispute between Houlding (who owned Anfield) and the Committee who ran Everton Football Club.  Everton voted to move to a new ground across Stanley Park, leaving Houlding with an empty football stadium.  The result was Liverpool Football Club - and the rest is history!  To read a more detailed history of the formation and early years of LFC please visit our 'History of LFC' section.
