2023 :

2022 : Liverpool ended 2022 with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Leicester City at Anfield.  After surprisingly falling behind to a Dewsbury-Hall goal in the 4th minute, Liverpool were helped by two comical own goals from Leicester defender Wout Faes.  First Faes sliced a cross into his own net, then he failed to sort out his feet, as a rebound from a Darwin Nunez shot his shins and went in to the delight of the Liverpool fans.  Despite lots of chances in the second half, the score remained 2-1, with the win keeping Liverpool in contention for a top 4 finish.
