2023 : Liverpool's difficult 2022/23 season continued with a poor 3-1 loss at Brentford.  In front of a capacity crowd of 17,163 at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford raced into a 2 goal lead before half-time.  Liverpool hit back after the break through Oxlade-Chamberlain, but it was Brentford who secured the points with a third goal in the 84th minute.

2022 : Liverpool let a 2-goal lead slip against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in an entertaining Premier league game.  Early goals from Mane and Salah had put Liverpool in control, only for Chelsea to hit back before half-time with goals from Kovacic and Pulisic.  Despite plenty of chances for both teams in the second half, the game ended 2-2.

2021 :

2020 : Liverpool welcomed Sheffield United to Anfield on the 1st January 2020.  An early goal from Mohamad Salah put the Reds in charge, but it wasn't until the 64th minute that Sadio Mane sealed the victory with a second goal.  The result was Liverpool's 19th victory from 20 games, and restored the Reds 13 point lead over second placed Manchester City, as the Reds raced towards the Premier League Title.

2019 :

2018 :

2017 : Liverpool suffered a frustrating draw at struggling Sunderland, as two penalties from Jermaine Defoe cancelled out goals from Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge.  Despite dominating large parts of the game, the Reds could not hold onto the lead, with Mane turning from hero to villain, as his handball in the 84th minute lead to the equalising penalty.

2016 : Liverpool started 2016 in the worst possible way, with a disappointing 2-0 defeat away at West Ham United.  Michel Antonio opened the scoring, before ex-Red Andy Carroll returned to haunt his old club, with a 55th minute goal to secure the victory, sending the 34,977 fans inside Upton Park wild.
