2023 : Liverpool youngster Leighton Clarkson signed a long term contract with Scottish side Aberdeen.  The 21-year old midfielder had spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Aberdeen, making 38 appearances and registering 6 goals and 8 assists.  The impressive stats were obviously enough to convince Aberdeen to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal.  Although the fee was undisclosed, it is believed the Reds pocketed around £1million from the deal.

1967 : Jurgen Klopp is born on the 16th of June 1967, in Stuttgart, Germany.  His parents are Elisabeth and Norbert Klopp.  His father Norbert was a traveling salesman and former goalkeeper, so it is not so surprising that Jurgen would choose a career in football.  After a playing and managerial career that took in Frankfurt, Mainz, and Dortmund, Klopp became Liverpool's Manager on 8th October 2015.
