2023 : Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Fabinho edged closer to a move away from Anfield, after passing a medical with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.  With personal terms already agreed, and Liverpool happy to accept Al-Ittihad's offer of £40million, the deal was described by football journalist Fabrizio Romano as 'complete'.

2022 : Liverpool FC Women confirmed the signings of two new players, with goalkeeper Eartha Cummings, and winger Shanice van de Sanden joining the Reds.

2021 : Liverpool secured 17-year old winger Matuesz Musialowski to a professional contract, after the young polish midfielder earned rave reviews for his performances in the Under-18 side.  Indeed, so good were the players displays, that the youngster was dubbed the 'Polish Messi'.

2020 : Thiago Alcantara's proposed move from Bayern Munich to Liverpool moved one step closer, after the Spanish midfielder agreed personal terms with the reds.  Bayern were keen to keep Thiago, but after meeting the Jurgen Klopp, Thiago rejected Bayern's contract offer in favour of a move the Liverpool.

2019 : Liverpool landed in Indiana, for the first part of a pre-season tour of the USA.  During the tour they played games against Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon.  The game against Sevilla was especially popular, as it took place at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, also owned by Liverpool's owners FSG.

2018 : The draw for the group stages of the 2018/19 Premier League International Cup took place.  The competition pits 12 Premier Leauge 2 teams, against 12 Under-23 academy sides from elite teams across Europe.  The draw saw Liverpool in a group with Villareal, Hertha BSC and Swansea City.
