2023 : Liverpool's first team squad set off for their pre-season training camp in Germany, with 32 players making the trip.  One notable player missing from the squad, however, was Brazilian midfielder - Fabinho.  Reports emerged early in the day, that Liverpool had received a £40million bid from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, and after talks between the player and manager Jurgen Klopp, it was agreed that Fabinho would stay in merseyside to discuss the potential move.

2022 : Liverpool forward Diogo Jota was ruled out of the 2022 Community Shield (against Manchester City), after a recurrence of a hamstring injury that had ruled him out for large parts of the 2021/22 season.  Jota would eventually return to playing after the start of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

2021 : Former Liverpool goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, was revealed as a contestant on Spain's version of 'The Masked Singer'.  Taking part in the televised show, the 38 year old dressed as a giant penguin to fool the Judges, with only 1 of the 4 judges correctly guessing who was hiding under the mask.

2020 : Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left rueing mistakes by Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson, as Liverpool lost 2-1 to Arsenal.  Despite already wrapping up the League Title, the defeat meant Liverpool failed to acheive a record points haul.  The 2019/20 season will be remembered both for Liverpool ending their 30-year wait to win the League, and for the Covid-19 Pandemic, that nearly cancelled the entire season.
