Happy Birthday Harvey Elliott
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott turns 21 today, with the young attacking midfielder having already made over 100 appearances for the Reds!
It's hard to believe, but in July this year, Harvey Elliott will have been a Liverpool player for five years, yet somehow, it feels like only yesterday Liverpool fans were celebrating the capture of one of England's most highly-rated young players.
During those five years, Elliott has enjoyed many highs and lows, from celebrating at Wembley to leaving the field on a stretcher.
Under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool coaching staff, Elliot has matured into a versatile attacker, comfortable in a midfield three, or as an attacking wide player. His vision and passing are excellent, and he has the hunger and desire to become a club legend.
Today, Elliott is celebrating his 21st Birthday. If he is included in tonight's squad for the Sheffield United game (which I'm sure he will be), he will have been involved in every match-day squad this season, making 42 appearances to date, scoring 3 and assisting 7 goals. Not bad for a player who was once snubbed by Chelsea, for being "too small".
If there is a footballing god, then Elliott will celebrate his Birthday with an appearance and goal in front of 60,000 Reds fans tonight, but in the meantime, everyone at LFC - Back On Our Perch wishes Harvey a very Happy 21st Birthday.
"Happy Birthday Harvey Elliott !!"
