Mohamad Salah will remember Sundays game against Brentford for a very long time. Not only did the Egyptian striker break a longstanding record, for scoring in six consecutive home games at the start of the season (read our article about it here), he also notched his 200th goal in English Football.
His latest goals means Salah has now scored 200 goals in 340 appearances in England. Of course, not all his goals or appearances have come for Liverpool, with Salah having an ill-fated stint at Chelsea earlier in his career, where he registered 2 goals in 19 appearances.
But it is his time at Liverpool that will be remembered and talked about for years to come, with Salah scoring an incredible 198 goals in 321 appearances to date. That's a goal every 1.6 games!
Read on below for a breakdown of Salah's goalscoring exploits :
Breakdown of Salah's goals for LFC
Premier League goals
147 goals in 230 appearances
FA Cup goals
5 goals in 11 appearances
Carabao Cup goals
1 goal in 4 appearances
European goals
44 goals in 70 appearances
Other Competitions
1 goal in 6 appearances
Salah is now the 129th person to score 200+ goals in England, and joins other Liverpool legends, such as John Aldridge, Gordon Hodgson, Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, Billy Liddell in achieving the feat.
Of the above mentioned players, only Gordon Hodgson (233), Roger Hunt (244), Ian Rush (229) and Billy Liddell (215) have scored 200+ goals as a Liverpool player, but Salah will surely reach 200 goals for LFC in the next few weeks!
