Sundays 2-0 victory over Aston Villa maintains the Reds 100% start to the season

Liverpool FC Women's excellent start to the season continued on Sunday, with an impressive 2-0 victory over Aston Villa Women at Prenton Park.
Goals from Marie Hobinger and Natasha Flint were enough to secure victory for Matt Beards side, and maintain their 100% winning start to the season.
Both goalscorers only joined the Reds in the summer, with Hobinger's goal coming on her full debut, whilst Flint came of the bench in the second half to score her first goal, and secure the win.
The victory, in front of a crowd of 2,963, sees Liverpool joint top of the Womens Super League, joining Leicester on 6 points.
Liverpool FC Women's next game is a trip to Leicester in the Intercontinental Cup, before the Reds welcome Everton to Anfield, on the 15th October!

"We defended from the front to the back and we got two goals to top it off, which was really good. Delighted to keep the clean sheet again. Throughout pre-season we were quite connected on and off the pitch, and I think that's shown in the last two games especially. We are such a family unit and we work really hard for each other. Just proud of everyone."
