2024 : Liverpool defeated Fulham, 2 - 1, at Anfield, in the first leg of the Carabao Cup Semi Final. Despite Fulham taking the lead, Liverpool proved too strong, with second half goals from Jones and Gakpo sealing the win.
2023 : LFC Women confirmed the signing of exciting 20-year old midfielder, Sofie Lundgaard, from Fotuna Hjorring. The Danish youth international had represented her country at U15, U17 and U19 level. The youngster had played over 100 games in her native Denmark before making the step up to the Women's Super League.

2015 : Liverpool picked up an important 1-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, thanks to Lazar Markovic's first league goal for the Reds, on 8 minutes. Sunderland had Liam Bridcutt sent off in the 48th minute, for a trip on midfielder Emre Can, but despite the numerical advantage Liverpool failed to add a second goal. The result left Liverpool 8th in the Premier League Table.

2009 : Liverpool endured another difficult afternoon against Stoke City, earning a point in a disappointing 0-0 draw at the Britannia Stadium. During the late 2000's Stoke had become somewhat of a 'boogey' team for Liverpool, who struggled to adapt to Stoke's direct, physical style of play.

2004 : Liverpool welcomed Aston Villa to Anfiel on the 10th January 2004. In front of a capacity 43,500 fans, a single own goal, scored by Villa's Mark Delaney in the 36th minute, was enough to secure the victory for Liverpool.

2001 : Liverpool travelled to Selhurst Park for the 1st Leg of the League Cup Semi-Finals. Despite losing the game 2-1, Vladimir Smicer's late goal for the Reds ensured that Palace only took a 1-goal lead to Anfield for the Second Leg - held on January 24th 2001.

1998 : A strong Liverpool side were too much for Wimbledon, running out 2-0 winners thanks to two goals from midfielder, Jamie Redknapp. The victory moved Liverpool upto 4th in the Premier League Table.
