2024 : Former Liverpool defender Larry Lloyd passed away at the age of 75.  Lloyd was signed by Bill Shankly from Bristol Rovers, to replace the aging Ron Yeats.  Lloyd made 218 appearances for Liverpool and scored the third goal in the UEFA Cup Final against Borussia Monchengladbach.

2023 : A 'Liverpool Legends' team, managed by Sir Kenny Dalglish, beat a 'Celtic Legends' team in a Charity fundraising match at Anfield.  Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Steven Gerrard and Mark Gonzalez.  Money raised from the game goes to the LFC Foundation.  You can donate to the LFC Charitable Foundation here.
