Arne Slot confirmed as new Liverpool Head Coach
After several weeks of speculation, Liverpool FC has confirmed that Arne Slot will become their new Head Coach on the 1st of June 2024, replacing Jurgen Klopp after nine years at Anfield.
Slot, 45, will become the club's first Dutch head coach when he takes up his new role in a few weeks, in what will be the first of many changes at the club over the next few months.
Arne Slot will be Liverpool's new Head Coach, with the club confirming that the 45-year-old Dutchman will join on the 1st of June 2024.
Slot will sign a 3-year contract at Anfield, worth a reported £7million per season, having left Feyenoord at the end of the Dutch season on Sunday.
Despite many fans beginning to wonder why Liverpool had not already announced Slot's appointment - after news first broke of a deal between Liverpool and Slot several weeks ago, it appears that both Liverpool and Feyenoord wanted to end their respective seasons before releasing any more details.
With both the English and Dutch leagues now complete, as well as Liverpool's farewell to Jurgen Klopp, the Reds are happy to confirm Slot's arrival and begin planning for a new era at Anfield.
Slot will not be the only new face at Anfield on the 1st of June, as new Sporting Director, Richard Hughes, will also officially complete his move to Liverpool, with plenty of work for him to sink his teeth into, including sorting out contract renewals for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mo Salah, and overseeing player sales and arrivals.
Slot is currently on holiday, with no further announcements expected until he begins work on the 1st of June.
