Liverpool's remaining Premier League games
Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man City are locked in a thrilling battle for this season's Premier League. But which teams do Liverpool still have to play, as the Reds look to secure their 20th league title?
The Premier League may be taking a break for a few days, but Liverpool will soon be back in action, with Brighton visiting Anfield on the 31st March.
Despite the recent disappointment of losing to Man United in the FA Cup, Liverpool still have loads to play for in the coming weeks, with both the Premier League and the Europa League in the Red's sights. And with only ten games left in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp and his players know they will need to pick up maximum points to win a 20th league title.
Join us as we analyze the Reds' remaining fixtures, and look at where the Premier League might be won or lost.
Liverpool's remaining Premier League fixtures
Date | Opposition | Venue |
31.03.2024 | Brighton | Anfield |
04.04.2024 | Sheffield United | Anfield |
07.04.2024 | Manchester United | Old Trafford |
14.04.2024 | Crystal Palace | Anfield |
21.04.2024 | Fulham | Craven Cottage |
24.04.2024 | Everton | Goodison Park |
27.04.2024 | West Ham | London Stadium |
04.05.2024 | Tottenham | Anfield |
11.05.2024 | Aston Villa | Villa Park |
19.05.2024 | Wolves | Anfield |
As you can see from the table above, Liverpool has five home games before the end of the season, with Brighton, Sheffield United, Cyrstal Palace, Tottenham and Wolves all visiting Anfield. Of these, Brighton, Sheffield United, and Palace should be regulation victories, while the games against Tottenham and Wolves will be more difficult - though I expect us to win both these games as well.
The Reds also have five away games, against Manchester United, Fulham, Everton, West Ham, and Aston Villa, and I expect these fixtures to cause us the most problems. United and Everton stand out as the most difficult games, although Liverpool have a great record against Everton recently, while the Reds will be keen to avenge their recent FA Cup loss at Old Trafford.
Another major factor affecting the Red's run-in is the recovery time between games, with the next ten fixtures being played in just 6 weeks. When you add the two Europa League Quarter-Finals matches (and hopefully Semi-Finals matches), Liverpool could potentially play 14 games in just 50 days! That's an incredibly difficult schedule and will test the stamina and resilience of the squad like never before!
