Liverpool vs Sparta Prague predicted lineup
Expect to see plenty of youngsters in tomorrow's Starting XI, as the Reds look to confirm their place in the last eight of the Europa League.
Liverpool are back in action tomorrow night, as Sparta Prague visit Anfield in the Europa League. The Reds secured a commanding 5 - 1 victory against Sparta last week, meaning Thursday's second leg should be a formality. Even so, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will demand that his players put in a good performance, as they look to build momentum as we head into the final part of the season.
Thanks to their excellent performance last week, Klopp has the luxury of rotating his players (we all much as he can when there are still ten first-team players out injured), so I expect to see plenty of Academy players on the teamsheet.
Liverpool's Predicted Starting XI
Goalkeeper
This one is easy. Caoimhin Kelleher has been in excellent form recently and Klopp will have no hesitation in playing him again tomorrow.
Defenders
Klopp has a few options at the back, thanks to the return of Robertson and Tsimikas. I'm expecting Virgil Van Dijk to lead the team once again, though he will hopefully be substituted at halftime to save him for Sunday's trip to Old Trafford. Jarell Quansah will partner Van Dijk in central defence, whilst Kostas Tsimikas should get the nod at left-back, with Conor Bradley at right-back. Joe Gomez will probably replace Van Dijk for the second half.
Midfield
Klopp is still short of options in midfield, though Bobby Clark and James McConnell will feature at some point. Endo will probably get a runout, as will Szoboszlia, with Clark completing the midfield trio. Expect to see Endo and Szoboszlai replaced early in the second.
Attackers
Klopp is also limited in attack, with Harvey Elliott in need of a rest after playing the last three games. Cody Gakpo will lead the line, with young Lewis Koumas alongside him. If he has recovered from a head injury, then Jayden Danns will also play up front. Mo Salah looked rusty on Sunday against City, so will get some time on the pitch, but Klopp will not want to risk Nunez or Diaz unless he has to.
Liverpool Starting XI: Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk, Quansah, Tsimikas, Endo, Szoboszlai, Clark, Koumas, Gakpo, Danns
Liverpool Subs: Adrian, Salah, Gomez, McConnell, Nyoni, Nallo, Musialowski, Gordon, Scanlon,
