Predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest

Predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest

Jurgen Klopp may be able to call on several returning players today against Nottingham Forest, but the squad will once again contain a number of young players.

  • Ten first-team stars still missing due to injury
  • No new injury concerns after Wednesday's game against Southampton
  • Academy players will once again be named in the squad

Liverpool travels to the City Ground this afternoon, as they take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.  The Reds have been on an amazing run recently, despite their ongoing injury crisis.  Jurgen Klopp confirmed yesterday that several first-team players, including Szoboszlai and Nunez, are back in full training, but we would still expect plenty of young players in the match-day squad.

So who do we think will start against Forest?

Kelleher will once again start in goal, with Alisson likely to be out for at least another month (and maybe longer if new reports are accurate).  The back four takes care of itself, with Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, and Robertson all fit.  In midfield, Klopp will be hoping to welcome back Endo and Mac Allister, whilst Bobby Clark deserves another start after his excellent performance against Southampton.  Up front, Elliott, Gakpo, and Diaz will continue.  That means Nunez and Szoboszlai will start from the bench, with Klopp only likely to risk them if the game needs rescuing.
