- Liverpool facing an injury crisis
- Ten first-team players unavailable for tonight's game at Anfield
- Liverpool need a win to re-establish their lead over Manchester City
With Liverpool's squad decimated by injury, Jurgen Klopp has made a number of changes to Liverpool's Starting Xi for tonight's game against Luton Town.
In total, there are five changes from the team that started against Brentford at the weekend, with Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Curtis Jones all joining the injured list. Mo Salah is also not named in the squad, though we are hopeful this is just to protect him ahead of the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday. Before we get to Sunday however, Liverpool needs to produce a good performance tonight, to secure the win and rebuild our lead over Manchester City, who won last night.
Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah start in defence, whilst Harvey Elliott, Ryan Gravenberch, and Cody Gakpo all come into the side in midfield or attack. Klopp has also been forced to name a very inexperienced bench with youngsters Bobby Clark, Kaide Gordon, Trey Nyoni, James McConnell, and Jayden Danns all making the first team squad.
Liverpool Starting XI : Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk (C), Quansah, Gomez, Endo, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Elliott, Diaz, Gakpo
Liverpool Subs : Adrian, Konate, Tsimikas, Robertson, Clark, Gordon, McConnell, Danns, Nyoni
Luton Town Line-up
Luton XI: Kaminski, Mengi, Osho, Bell, Chong, Lokonga, Barkley, Doughty, Ogbene, Morris, Woodrow.
Substitutes: Krul, Potts, Berry, Kabore, Burke, Mpanzu, Clark, Townsend, Nelson.
Kick-off is at 19.30pm (UK time). The game is not being shown live on TV in the UK, but you can follow the action on the radio, on TalkSport.
