Every Liverpool fan dreams of playing for the club, walking out onto the Anfield turf with 60,000 passionate Scousers chanting your name. For Harvey Elliott, that dream is a reality, and the talented youngster will reach an incredible milestone tonight, as he makes his 100th appearance for the club!
It seems like only yesterday that Elliott signed from Fulham as a 16-year-old, having gained a reputation as one of the brightest talents in English football. Fast forward four and a half years, and Elliott is a key part of the Liverpool first-team squad, although he would be the first to admit that he would like to start more games. There is no doubting Elliott's ability though, and at just 20 years old, the player is set for a bright future at Anfield, regardless of who becomes the next Liverpool manager.
In reaching today's milestones, Harvey Elliott becomes the fourth youngest player to make 100 appearances for Liverpool, behind only Micheal Owen, Raheem Sterling, and Robbie Fowler. That's pretty good company to be in, and he could have reached the milestone even sooner if he had not had a horrible ankle injury several years ago.
Liverpool's youngest players to reach 100 appearances
- Michael Owen - 19 years and 363 days
- Raheem Sterling - 20 years and 6 days
- Robbie Fowler - 20 years and 167 days
- Harvey Elliott - 20 years and 323 days
