As expected, Liverpool Football Club have been fined by the FA, for player ill-discipline, following the game between Tottenham and Liverpool last Saturday.
Liverpool Football Club have been handed a £25,000 fine by the Football Association, for picking up 8 cards during the game with Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
The fine is automatically handed out to any team that collects 6 or more cards (yellow or red), during a match.
Despite the fact the fine is automatically applied, it will do little to rebuild relationships between the Reds, the FA and the referee's association, particularly as many of the cards Liverpool picked up with due to questionable refereeing, and a general frustration at how the game was being officiated.
It is unlikely Liverpool will appeal the fine, as they have bigger issues with the FA and PGMOL to deal with at the moment.
