Liverpool trail at half time

Liverpool trail at half time against Fulham, 1-0

Liverpool’s opening 45 minutes of the new season did not go quite to plan as Fulham deservedly lead 1-0 at half time.

The only goal of the half came in the 32nd minute, as Fulham striker Mitrovic converted a cross from Tete on the right hand side, getting above Alexander-Arnold at the back post to score from close range.

Liverpool did have the ball in the back of the net early on but the goal was ruled out for offside.  Apart from that effort though Liverpool were largely disappointing and Jurgen Klopp will have a lot of work to do at half time to get the Reds going.

First half stats...

Liverpool Possession - 72%

Liverpool Shots - 3

Shots on Target - 1

Liverpool Corners – 1

Fouls conceded by Liverpool - 4
